**Role Summary:**

The Solar Site Leader is a critical part of GE Power Conversion Solar, executing business commitments in the field at solar farms across North America. The Solar Industry in North America is growing rapidly, and GE is positioned as a Top Tier Supplier to customers throughout the industry. Customer Experience is a key aspect of GE Power Conversion's strategy, and field service is at the forefront.


**Essential Responsibilities:**

As the Solar Site Leader, you will:


+ Be responsible for dispatching and coordinating field resources across 50+ solar farms in North America

+ Be the single point of contact for Project Managers and Fleet Managers that have work requirements at their sites

+ Develop and maintain day to day resource planning based on required work scope in North America in the areas of Commissioning, Warranty, and Remediation

+ Be responsible for managing cost, time, and T&L spent by resources

+ Be responsible for setting up and maintaining GE establishments on-site

+ Lead a team of experienced GE site team and contractors to achieve target

+ Maintain customer communication on resource plan for sites at a management level

+ Develop practical and innovative ways to identify and meet goals and manage resources efficiently

+ Utilize your experience / expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for customers, and have the ability to effect short-term and long-term business goals

+ Manage site operations on projects, including site management, technical advisory services, and field execution performance (i.e., quality, schedule, EHS & Cost), from the proposal phase through installation and commissioning until final acceptance, and warranty

+ Be responsible to develop field execution strategies, site staffing estimates, and attend customer / EPC kickoff and execution meetings

+ Ensure process discipline on-site and assign site teams based on project requirements to maintain scope and contract requirements

+ Oversee the subcontracting process of contractors with Supply Chain, pre-qualifications, commercial structure, bid packages, and negotiation through final award

+ Develop and maintain process for tracking / validation employee and contractor time / T&L

+ Monitor project performance in all areas, including cost, schedule, technical advisory services, Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) and quality

+ Ensure employee training is scheduled on-time and that training is up to date based on job requirements

+ Ensure employee's have proper tooling required to complete work scope

+ Identify employee performance issues and provide leadership with the necessary information to resolve issues / ensure project success

+ Ensure reporting is accurate and submitted by employee's in a timely manner


**Qualifications/Requirements:**


+ Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college (OR Associate's Degree with a minimum of 5 years of field engineering experience)

+ Minimum of 5 years of site installation and commissioning experience in a leadership role


**ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:**


+ Ability and willingness to travel domestically 75% of the time

+ Ability and willingness to obtain / maintain a valid driver's license

+ Experience managing multiple direct reports and contracts

+ Demonstrated leadership and management skills

+ Experience serving as Customer focal point on project sites

+ Experience managing subcontractors / partner contract to ensure success

+ Strong technical background, project management, and services experience

+ Ability to work within a matrix organization and team atmosphere

+ Construction subcontracting and contract administration experience

+ Ability to manage multiple complicated tasks in parallel

+ High energy, self starter, with a positive attitude

+ Microsoft suite proficiency

+ Strong communication skills
